5/15/09 - The City of Hyden was selected to receive one of the Community Collaboration for Children Fatherhood Mini Grants through the Hazard Perry County Community Ministries. Inc. The mini grant was use May 16, 2009 for the Fun Day in the Park. The City of Hyden would like to thank Community Ministries for awarding this grant to us and helping to make this day possible. We also would like to thank the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife for bringing fish, and fishing poles to help with this event. Special Thanks to Rick Echols from the Department of Fish and Wildlife; he has came the past two years to assist the children in catching fish.
